In early
2005 Truck-Lite will mark its 50th anniversary in business. From the start,
Truck-Lite placed its focus on manufacturing and supplying the commercial
vehicle industry with safety lighting products. Fifty years later, lighting
has been complemented by commercial vehicle mirror systems, and Truck-Lite
has become the industry’s “visibility” company.
The original product concept adopted by Truck-Lite was the development of a sealed and protected lighting and wiring system for heavy trucks and trailers that could be warranted for an extended life cycle. From lamp housings and lenses made of virtually unbreakable polycarbonate plastic, to shock-mounted baseless bulbs, to completely sealed lighting and wiring connections, Truck-Lite pioneered long-term lighting product warranties. Upon this foundation, Truck-Lite evolved its product offering to light-emitting diode (LED) lamps, replacing filament-type incandescent bulbs with diodes impervious to shock and vibration. Such innovation in vehicle lighting, combined with state-of-the-art wiring harness systems, yielded the limited lifetime warranty for a commercial vehicle LED sealed lighting and wiring system. Should the Truck-Lite LED lamps and wiring system fail under normal applications, the product will be replaced free of charge to the original owner of the vehicle, regardless of the age of the vehicle. This type of product performance has been confirmed through Truck-Lite’s certification to ISO-14001 standard, with TS 16949 certification just on the horizon. These product innovations and quality standards have been supported by Truck-Lite’s global reach. Offering manufacturing facilities in eleven European and North American locations, along with manufacturing partners in Asia and South America, and a direct sales team operating globally, Truck-Lite has positioned itself to serve and support vehicle manufacturers, aftermarket distributors, and fleet operators worldwide. Truck-Lite invites you to select from a broad range of lighting and mirror products, and to contact a representative at its European headquarters in Birmingham, England, for any technical and commercial questions. We are prepared to serve your “See and Be Seen” product needs, and are committed to making our technologies and innovations in the next fifty years even more exciting for you than in the first fifty! |
